Improper computer or security configurations and programming errors are causing vulnerabilities that can be exploited by criminals. The “Zero-Day” concept refers to the fact, that the developers are already aware of the vulnerabilities, and maybe the attackers as well, and as a consequence, they have “zero days” to fix the issues.

We care on your privacy. This Privacy Statement explains what personal data the Zero-Day Conference collects from you, through our interaction with you, how is managing your personal data and how can you have control over it.

The Zero-Day Conference/c.o. PSYND complies with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and will not share your personal data with any other entities unless you give your consent, or the law requires Zero-Day Conference/c.o. PSYND to do so.

We will not sell or give away any personal information that you provide, including your email. It will be used solely for internal purposes. We don't make a direct usage of cookies, but you should be aware that some third party software we are using could do it. Collection of Personal Data from Conference Participants

The Zero-Day Conference collects the minimum amount of data to allow a smooth organization and to provide ISC2 and ISCA certified members with CPEs.

  • When you register for the conference, we will collect personal information such as your name, job title, organization, email address, phone number
  • We may also collect additional information such as dietary restrictions or accommodation preferences if applicable, or ISC2 and/or ISACA certification or membership numbers to provide you with CPEs.

Collection of Personal Data from Conference Sponsors and External Vendors

  • When you collaborate with the conference, we will collect personal information such as company name, legal address, email address, phone number, legal representative and his/her job title
  • We may also collect additional information for a smooth process of the organization

Use of Personal Data

  • Personal data collected will be used for the purpose of organizing and running the conference, including communication with participants, sponsors and external vendors, processing registrations and sponsorships, and providing relevant information about the event.
  • Participants contact information may be shared with speakers, sponsors, or exhibitors for networking or promotional purposes, but only with your consent.
  • Please also note that we never record any voice conversation, and do not pass along any personal data which may have been obtained during our conversations with you – unless you have given your consent to do so.
  • The Zero-Day Conference doesn’t send out regular newsletters, but you might receive personalized invitations in case you registered to previous events.

Protection of personal data

  • We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
  • Access to personal data is strictly limited to authorized personnel who need the information to carry out their duties related to the conference.

Storage and retention of personal data

  • Personal data will be retained for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including legal or business requirements.
  • If, at any point in time, you wish for your personal data to be removed or amended, please revert to our contact details and inform us accordingly.

Registration on third-party platforms

The participants registration to the conference can be done through the websie and in this case the Zero-Day Conference/PSYND is fully responsible for the security of the personal data of the participants.

  • Meetup registration platform: the Zero-Day Conference don’t use this platform for registration purposes, only to promote the dates of the event. The list of the registrants allows the organizers to see only the registrant’s alias used on Meetup and gives the possibility to message the registrants but without knowing their e-mail address. https://help.meetup.com/hc/en-us/articles/360044422391-Privacy-Policy/
  • LinkedIn: is also used more as a lead-generation platform where the registrants can subscribe to the event, consenting or not that the organizers can reach out to them to provide them with further information and official registration details about the conference. https://www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy

Transfer Abroad

Data transfer to sponsors in Switzerland or abroad can only take place with the prior consent of the participant. In case a data transfer takes place the Zero-Day Conference organizers assure that the data is encrypted and it’s shared securely. The organizers of the Zero Day Conference prohibit sponsors from selling or sharing the personal information of conference attendees with third parties such as partners, distributors or other organizations.

Access and Control to Your Personal Data

At any point in time you have the right to: access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, objection, and to not be subject to automated decision-making. Please contact us via e-mail for requesting your rights.

Tracking Technology

The Zero-Day Conference website is not using cookies or similar technologies to track your browsing behavior.
