Abstract
Getting started with Machine Identity Management
How do you pick a good first name and last name for a technical identity...
Sounds ridiculous, right? But this is what we have been doing for several years – the IAM software industry has traditionally focused on warm bodies and we have just handled machine identities as a use-case subset of that.
As organizations modernize their architectures and adopt cloud and microservices patterns, machine identities now significantly outnumber human users. The problem is that those identities tend to be very privileged. It’s a good time to rethink the approach and don’t let things get out of hand. In this workshop we will discuss some of building blocks to get you started.
